Organisational History

The Tasmanian Writers’ Union (TWU) produced a newsletter from 1981-1997 as well as a writers’ directory. The TWU was integral to the Salamanca Art Festival, as well as organising readings, residencies, and events for writers. In May 1997 Tasmanian Writers’ Centre was created, incorporating TWU
