Biographical Note

Paul Ernest Knobel was born on the 6 April 1948 in Mackay, Queensland. He is an honours graduate from the University of Queensland (BA Hons) and the University of Sydney (MA Hons) in English Literature; he received a Diploma of Education from the University of New England. Knobel was an Honorary Associate in the Department of Modern Greek, University of Sydney in 2004.

Knobel's poems have been published in journals and anthologies, and he is the author of the following works, including:
'The theme of death in The waste land and in the poetry of Robert Lowell, Sylvia Plath, John Berryman and Ted Hughes, 1957-1973', M.A. thesis, University of Sydney, 1978
